The department of English offers UG course in English Lnaguage And Literature, providing students with a solid knowledge and understanding of major schools of language and literary criticism.Faculty members in the department aim to develop each student’s ability to master the four basic skills in the context of the varied functions of communication and genres .They train the students of all departments of the college to carry out critical analysis of linguistic and literary texts and to place them in their historical, philosophical , cultural, social and global context. With this aim, various seminars are being conducted in the department. Our mission is to mould graduates as sociallyresponsible and thereby occupy respectable and fruitful position in the society.
