The Department of Commerce was established in the academic year 2014-15. The Department is enriched by 4 lecturers including 3 regular staff members and one guest lecturer. The Department offers Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Co-operation, one of the most demanded courses of the contemporary academic world. Highly professional in nature, the course intends to provide a foundation for students who plan to pursue their career in business, commerce, accounting etc. The aim of the department is to provide quality of education with practical applications. Apart from the regular classroom teaching, the department is showing keen interest in conducting conferences, guest lectures, training, business talk, management meet, industrial visit, etc. The department encourage students to think creatively and to develop the right mindset to meet the challenges of the globalized business environment, through value-based education, interpersonal relations and outreach programmes. The B.Com Degree provides a strong platform for a wide range of career opportunities in all branches of commerce and industry, from sales and marketing through to financial services, information technology, retail, manufacturing, tourism, transport, business consulting, cooperative sector and also different departments of State and Central Government including education, treasury and taxation.
